深国交毕业生人文社科线上分享会，6月17始等你来。。。

嘉宾简介：

Tina于今年从LSE社会人类学毕业，用她的话总结来说，她的大学三年大部分时间用在探索自己内心真正热爱的事物。虽然很多时候我们都在讨论人文社科能够带来什么，能够帮我获得什么工作—这种外在产出的内容，但是我非常赞同人文学科的“用处”很多时候难以用外在的标准量化，它是关于“内心”的故事。Tina告诉我她的故事是一段关于个人内心成长的故事，这其中有人文社科带来的个人的体悟，也有对整个时代的感悟。

Tina graduated from LSE Social anthropology this year. To sum up, she spent most of her three years in college exploring things she really loved. Although we often discuss what the humanities and social sciences can bring and what jobs they can help us get - the specific external output, I very much agree that the "usefulness" of Humanities is often difficult to quantify with external standards, it is about the "inner" growth and inspirations. Tina told me that her story is about personal inner growth, which includes personal insights brought by humanities and social sciences, as well as insights about the contemproary society.

Poppy从LSE社会学毕业后在牛津读了一年教育硕士，之后又回国通过咨询继续探索自己感兴趣的行业。在战略咨询行业工作一年七个月左右，她决定选择一份新的职业—在一家智能硬件企业做用户研究。Poppi择业心路历程的背后是她对于整个社会结构变化的思考，对个人兴趣的探索，还有对未来的期待，体现了社会学的学术能力可以怎样被迁移到其他具体的产业之中，而社会学的思考又是怎么帮助个人做出选择。Poppi的故事或许是一段在具体的生活中将社会学的思考与工作的“实战经验”结合在一起的故事。

Poppy graduated from LSE Sociology and studied for a Master's degree in Education in Oxford. Afterwards, she returned to China to continue exploring her industries of interest through consulting. After working in the consulting industry (strategy consulting) for about a year and seven months, she decided to choose a new career - user research group at a tech company. Behind Poppy's career path is her reflection on the changes in the overall social structure, exploration of personal interests, and expectations for the future, reflecting how sociological academic abilities can be transferred to other specific industries, and how sociological thinking can help individuals make choices. Poppi's story may be a story that combines sociological thinking with practical work experience.

嘉宾简介：

Elaine今年从LSE社会学毕业后即将前往美国John Hopskins就读公卫硕士。从社会学本科跨专业到其他公共健康，从英国到美国，这其中有太多时间规划上的挑战还有不确定性，以及本科学业与申请的双重压力。我身边也有越来越多的朋友们考虑跨专业或者去美国读硕士，或许Elaine学姐的故事可以让我们看到社科的更多应用领域和可能性，还有英本美硕这个转向背后的一些关于学术和职业的思考。Elaine学姐的申请季拿到了很多藤校的offers,关于择校或许很多朋友也会有想问的。

Elaine is about to study for a Master's degree in Public Health at John Hopkins in the United States after graduating from LSE Sociology this year. From undergraduate sociology to other public health majors, from the UK to the US, there are planning challenges and uncertainties, as well as the dual pressure of undergraduate studies and applications. I also have more and more friends around me who are considering interdisciplinary majors or pursuing a master's degree in the United States. Perhaps Elaine's story can show us more possibilities beyond undergraduate study of sociology, as well as some thoughts on academia and career. Elaine's application season has received many offers from Ivy League schools, and many friends may also want to ask about school selection. 

我们的每场分享会在一个小时左右，前20分钟由guestspeakers来详细介绍她们的故事，后10分钟由我来问问她们我准备的一些问题，剩下的30分钟回答在观众群里提前收集到的问题，自由提问，线上参与的链接将发送到观众群里。

Each of our sharing sessions will last for about an hour, with guest speakers detailing their stories for the first 20 minutes, Host will ask questions for the next 10 minutes, and the remaining 30 minutes will be dedicated to answering questions collected in advance among the audience. Links to participate online will be sent to the audience within the WeChat group.
